Point of Dispensing (POD) Mass Vaccination: A Virtual Emergency Preparedness Exercise for Healthcare Agencies

CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule Exercise Opportunity for Skilled Nursing, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Assisted Living, Dialysis Centers, Adult Care Homes, and Home Health and Hospice Care Service Providers.

November 4, 2020 from 1:00 PM ET - 4:00 PM ET

Exercise Summary

Are you looking for an opportunity to meet your Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) exercise requirement while also evaluating your planning efforts for subsequent COVID-19 responses? Join All Clear Emergency Management Group on November 4, 2020 for a virtual Point of Dispensing (POD) Mass Vaccination exercise. This exercise is a healthcare community specific, operations-based exercise. All Clear will provide a scenario based interactive exercise that features both large and small breakout group discussions with a series of tasks that will help meet one of the two CMS exercise requirements. Each participating agency will receive a copy of the exercise documents and a comprehensive After-Action Report (AAR) that can be used to demonstrate compliance for one of the two CMS exercise requirements.

Exercise Objectives

1. Identify your organization’s decision-making processes to implement, manage, and sustain Point of Dispensing (POD) Mass Vaccination Operations at your facility.

2. Evaluate your organization’s ability to activate the current Emergency Operations Plan or Infectious Disease Response Plan.

3. Demonstrate your organization’s ability to effectively collect and share information "by establishing and maintaining timely and accurate communications" with local, regional, and state partners.

4. Identify your organization’s Critical Infrastructure / Essential Workforce and determine its ability to manage and sustain Point of Dispensing Mass Vaccinations Operations at your facility.

5. Determine how the continuity of care will be maintained at your organization during a prolonged Point of Dispensing Mass Vaccination Operation.

Cost and Registration

The cost is $199 per person. Those registered on or before October 21, 2020 will receive a $50 Early Bird discount. Regular registration will close on October 30, 2020.

All Clear Emergency Management Group is hosting a series of webinars to help you and your organization navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Webinar Offering: How to Develop your COVID-19 After-Action Report

Date/Time: October 27, 2020 / 11:00 AM ET - 12:15 PM ET

Description: While many exercise requirements have been waived during the COVID-19 pandemic, institutions and organizations are still required to write an After-Action Report (AAR) for their COVID-19 response. An AAR for a sustained response does not neatly align with exercise AAR formats and is unprecedented for many healthcare providers. All Clear can assist your organization with capturing the right information necessary for a comprehensive valuable AAR now, while the COVID-19 response continues.

In addition to attending the webinar you will also receive:

- An AAR/IP template specific to COVID-19
- A copy of the presentation slides
- A checklist of documents you may need to star developing your AAR/IP
- A list of questions to help you start gathering information for your AAR/IP

Early Bird Webinar Cost: $50 (Ends on October 13, 2020)
Regular Webinar Cost: $75 (Ends on October 26, 2020)

Webinar Offering: Point of Dispensing (POD) Considerations for Ancillary Healthcare

Date/Time: November 10, 2020 / 11:00 AM ET - 12:15 PM ET

Description: Is a closed POD right for your organization? Join us for a facilitated discussion to examine planning for and implementing a close POD including considerations for staffing, efficient design, cold chain management, and agreements with partner agencies.

Early Bird Webinar Cost: $50 (Ends on October 27, 2020)
Regular Webinar Cost: $75 (Ends on November 9, 2020)
