Assessments

A thorough risk assessment is the cornerstone of any emergency management program. This process can help identify your hazards, evaluate the associated impact to your organization, and help you prioritize where to spend your time and energy.

Our Assessment Services

Here are a few of the assessment services we provide. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Gap Analysis

A gap analysis compares the actual status of your program with its potential or expected status. Often, a gap analysis will begin with a set of regulatory requirements or standards and measure your program against those standards. The gaps identified will show you where you need to improve to be in compliance. A gap analysis is a useful tool for all organizations.

Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA)

An HVA is a systematic approach to prioritizing hazards that may affect the demand for your services or your ability to provide your services. Using historical data, real life events that have occurred, and discussion, the HVA process will lead to a common understanding of the vulnerability your organization may face.  Although common in hospitals, Healthcare Coalitions, and other healthcare agencies, an HVA is a useful tool for any organization.

Site Security Assessment

A comprehensive security site assessment allows for greater awareness of vulnerabilities. The assessment can include both Administrative Controls (policies, training, etc.) and Engineering Controls (security cameras, panic buttons, exterior lighting, etc.). Security plans and operating procedures can address the gaps identified during the assessment and begin to improve overall security of your facility.

Threat and Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (THIRA)

A THIRA is a risk assessment process that helps the whole community understand its risks and estimate responses and recovery capabilities. The results of the THIRA inform a variety of emergency management efforts, including: emergency operations planning, mutual aid agreements, and hazard mitigation planning. Ultimately, the THIRA process helps communities decide what to prepare for, what their recourse are, and what they can do to lessen the impact of a threat or hazard. Typically, this is conducted at a local government level, the THIRA process should include other community organizations, such as businesses, churches faith-based organizations, nonprofit groups, schools and universities.

Hospital Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA)

With a Joint Commission survey right around the corner, hospital administration contracted with All Clear to revise and update their annual HVA. There had been many changes to the facility since the last update. The All Clear facilitator gathered the Emergency Management Committee, lead them through an HVA tool, and provided the results and recommendations to the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.
