Emergency Preparedness Exercise for Healthcare Agencies

CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule Exercise Opportunity for Skilled Nursing, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Assisted Living, Dialysis Centers, Adult Care Homes, and Home Health and Hospice Care Service Providers.

Exercise Summary

Are you looking for an opportunity to meet your Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) exercise requirement? Join All Clear Emergency Management Group for a healthcare-specific community-based, operations-based exercise to meet the exercise requirements within the CMS emergency preparedness rule. All Clear will provide an introduction to exercise design and then conduct a scenario-based interactive discussion that features a series of tasks that will meet the CMS exercise requirement. Each participating agency will receive a copy of the exercise documents and a comprehensive After Action Report (AAR) that can be used to demonstrate compliance for the CMS exercise requirement.

Exercise Objectives:

1. Assess the impact a community-wide event would have on your agency operations.
2. Exercise internal and external communication plans to ensure continuity of patient care during an emergency.
3. Identify resources in the community that could assist with continuity of patient care during an emergency.
4. Discuss your agency's continuity of patient care plan for existing and additional patients during an emergency.
