CMS EXERCISE OPPORTUNITY

Emergency Preparedness Exercise in Central Ohio

Join All Clear on August 15, 2018 for a healthcare-specific, community-based, operations-based exercise to meet the exercise requirements within the CMS emergency preparedness rule. All Clear will provide an introduction to exercise design and then conduct a scenario-based interactive discussion that features a series of tasks that will meet the CMS exercise requirement. Each participating agency will receive a copy of the exercise documents and a comprehensive After Action Report (AAR) that can be used to demonstrate compliance for the CMS exercise requirement.

Exercise Objectives

  1. Assess the impact a community-wide power failure event would have on your agency operations.
  2. Exercise internal and external communication plans to ensure continuity of patient care during a power failure event.
  3. Identify resources in the community that could assist with continuity of patient care during a power failure event.
  4. Discuss your agency's continuity of patient care plan for existing and additional patients during a power failure event.
